First of all, I apologize to pretty much everyone who would read this (that is, everyone who knows me in real life)... Because you already know all of this story. But just in case there is someone else out there that may care...
So, I'm still working on buying a house... I actually found one that I really like and, in fact, was supposed to close on it last Friday. So Thursday afternoon comes around, I've already submitted my change of address to the post office, all of the utilities are set to switch over to my name the next day, and I have a cashier's check in hand to deliver at closing, everything has gone perfectly so far. Suddenly the phone rings...

duuuuuuuuunnnnn
It's my realtor... Apparently he just received a call from telling him that the closing has been pushed back. The group that is supposed to be under-writing the loan apparently are questioning the appraisal... I guess it's a tricky neighborhood, since the prices of houses in Riverside vary so much. Plus with the economy and everything the way that it is now, they're kind of being bratty.
So now I'm stuck with my current lease ending this Sunday and I'm not sure if I need to be talking to my landlord about extending it or what... Because there is a chance I'll still be able to close this week, but we're having a lot of trouble getting a straight response from the people holding us up. So I don't know.
Yup, if you subscribe to my RSS feeds, you should now receive the full content. So if you watch this in google reader or something, you don't need to come to my page anymore!
Unless, I guess, you want to check my flickr stream, or netflix movies, or any of that stuff...
I've moved to a different server! One that Eman set up for me, so no longer are you hitting some mystery web server who-knows-where on the tubes... It's now a virtual server somewhere else that I don't know about!
There are kind of some big/cool things going on with me right now.
Biggest of all, I've started hunting for a house to buy. I'm meeting with a realtor and everything! He's already shown me two houses and we'll be going Saturday morning to see some more. I'm pretty excited about it all... I'm hoping that I can find just the right place. Err... Obviously, I guess... Not many people go house-hunting for the wrong place.
I recently picked up an Amazon Kindle, which I've got to say is pretty freaking sweet. I really had to think it over because I've never been a huge fan of reading from a screen, but they really figured it out with this thing. I can read off of it for hours. Good times.
It's been a while since I've done a post on Comic Book Day... Mostly because I rarely get around to reading my comics until the weekend after comic book day...
But I figured that I should make a post, just so you know that I do still read comic books. Because I do. So here is
I'm probably most excited about Eternals, because it's kinda been my favorite monthly for a while now... Although I do enjoy Spider-Man quite a bit too.
So there they are! I'm hoping to remember to post this every Wednesday, just because my website is totally sweet and I hate that I don't post on it as much as I would like to.
While I'm at it, I guess I'll let you know everything that's been going on lately.
Music Based on a friends recommendation (mrmac131 on twitter), and what I'd heard of him, I decided to pick up Jeremy Larson's album Salvation Club and I'm enjoying it thoroughly. It's good stuff.
I also made a new mp3 cd for driving of a bunch of albums that I listened to back in High School/Early College. It's full of Our Lady Peace and stuff. Enjoyable.
Books The other day I read Coraline by Neil Gaiman. It's a good sort of scary kids book. But a quick read and I enjoyed it. When I picked up Coraline, I also got The Graveyard Book by the same au
Just sitting around here at home... Watching Walk The Line (It's not bad so far... Starting to seem a little bit long.) So I decided that I'd go ahead and update the ol' blog. It's been a while
I'm still making my way through Sherlock Holmes... Not even half way through all of it yet...
Ah, what else has been going on... Let's see... I got my PSP back out, I've been playing it a bit. I think that system is totally underrated... I've been using the Remote Play function and it's absolutely amazing... Having access to any media on my home file server anywhere that I can connect to the internet.
Ok, so I haven't made a (real) post in quite a while here... Sorry about that. It's the busiest time of year.
I'm currently waiting on a load of laundry to finish up so that I can finish packing and leave for the farm, so I figured I'd go ahead and write a new post.
Things have been kind of crazy at work the past couple of weeks, I've been really busy with several different projects. And so by the time I get home I usually don't feel like making a blog post... So, there you go.
Man, I need to get some more pictures on my Flickr feed... Try to get that gummy bear pizza picture off of there. It kinda looks gross.
I took some vacation for the holidays... I have today and Friday off and then I go back to work on Monday and Tuesday, then I'm gone for Wednesday-Friday of next week too. So that's pretty sweet.
Well, my laundry is about done... So I guess I'll go ahead and get ready to go. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
(Vimeo is overloaded tonight... As I post this, that video is still loading... Hopefully it's done though, now that you're here.) :D
Yes. I made that, and programmed it. And it's really not much, I know. But it's pretty sweet when you finally figure out how to make things like this work! Plus... It's like a Christmas themed Knight Rider display! HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!
Anyways. I've been playing with electronics. I picked up an Arduino chip and started going to it. It's a lot of fun for me.
The past few weeks since my last post have been pretty good... Just kinda hanging out, enjoying life. Spending a lot of time with Amy.
I'm starting to get excited for the winter LAN party. For those who don't know, a LAN party is where a bunch of people get together and network their computers together to play games... It's a hoot. My friends from college have been doing a good job of getting together for a winter and a summer LAN party for years now... It's a nice tradition, kind of like an awesome reunion. Though I probably won't really be playing games, it'll be good to see them al
Yup... See that? That's what creativity looks like when it comes out of me. Like most people's "I'm not really even trying."
Anyways. Short week! Huzzah! I'm sooo glad that tomorrow is Wednesday-as-Friday! It's going to be awesome. Not only is it Wednesday-as-Friday, it's also comic book day!
AND PAY DAY! HURRAH! HURRAH! HURRAH FOREVER!
So, Amy and I are heading over to her parent's house on Thursday at around noon for a Thanksgiving meal, and then we'll be leaving from there and driving out to my parent's farm for my family's Thanksgiving. I'm really looking forward to it! My entire family is going to be out there, and that's a feat that we can't quite get accomplished too often.
Anyways! I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Because I went and lifted weights tonight. But that's not new, I do that 3 times a week. It just happened to be that I increased the amount of weight for pretty much all of my exercises. Hence: Jelly-arms. Legs too, but they're not so bad.
I've implemented a new CAPTCHA, how long will this one last until I get to experience the bitter taste of defeat yet again?
The problem is, I want to make the CAPTCHA as un-horrible as possible, I hate the little bendy pictures with letters that you have to try to decipher that most blogs use... So I'm trying to come up with my own solution. I have faith in the one that I currently put in place.
Basically, for a guest comment, all you have to do is type how many characters the username is that you've entered. So for mine (br0xen), I would type 6 in the box and then submit. Very easy, yes?
Of course, if you register, then you don't have to worry about things as silly as CAPTCHAs...
